As we enter this new year and decade, a couple of themes pass through my heart and mind:
Seasons

“There is a time for everything” Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
Seasons: Seasons change, just like the weather. That is the cycle of life. Note every season, is a time for of harvest. Know what season you are in. Be patient with yourself and those around you as they may it be in the same season as you.
Clarity

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
Proverbs 29:18
Clarity: This one is especially for areas where you are confused. Clarity comes with 20/20 vision. In order to get anywhere in life, we need to have a clear vision. Especially for those that are confused.
Confidence

“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 3:18
Confidence: To walk in confidence who God has made me to be. Confidence in the dreams that God has given me. Confidence that God has placed in my heart. Confidence in that God is not done with me yet and He will continue to bring me from Glory to Glory and faith to faith.
Love

“‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself…”
Mark 12:31
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”
Jeremiah 31:3
Love- The past decade I have loved everyone else before myself. This decade I am going to pursue true love, healthy love, and everlasting love. A love that does not settle for being needed, but a love that desires just to spend time together and just be in each other’s presence.
Peace

A heart at peace gives life to the whole body”
Proverbs 14:30
Peace: Above all else, strive for peace. Peace in my home. Live in peace. Peace with the decisions I make. Being in a state of peace. If it does not bring my life peace, then there is no place for it in my life. “
