Blending – So if you remember a couple of weeks back I tried to do a blending blue. Well I discovered 3 things.
When you mix paint, you don’t use the pallets, you use a flat surface. Known as a Paint Palette. Being that I don’t have one and I am in isolation, I tried using a plate. So much easier to mix paint.
I also discovered I was using the wrong brush. I either need a blending mop brush, or a fan brush.
No matter what brush you use, you pull the lighter color into the darker shade.
I was working on the background color for my cactus memorial. I first started my mixing the color on the paper. That did not work as you could see where I poured the paint even with the finish product. I tried a second time, even though it came out alot better, it came out too dark. I think this is an issue of the lighting.
I tried my had at the stencil art again, and I put too much paint on and it showed nothing of the sencel.
