Upon cleaning out my bag tonight: I did not find what I was looking for… But I found these …
My mom’s earrings.
When they thought she was having a stroke turned out too much pain meds, they transferred her to the closest hospital.
This hospital was nasty. But the technician saw that I was waiting outside the door for moms head CT scan to finish.
He asked me if I wanted to take the earrings out of moms ears and handed me this cup. Yes, I had a tear run down my face that my mom could not take off her own earrings. I remember telling my self, everything is going to be ok, and telling mom your gonna do great.
I am so glad she did not pass in that hospital in that ER.
That night, I will never forget.
Her only cognitive time, was when the security guard was pushing me out of her room.
My mom sat up, and said to me “don’t stop praying for me. I asked her how did she know I was, she said I could feel them.and make sure you tell God you still want your mama around ” I would ask her if she remembers telling me that. She said yes.
she lived another 2 months.
