Facial Hair

Smiling after waxing

It is probably no surprise to most of you that I have dealt with facial hair since I was in middle school. Yep, Middle school!

To the annaminious person that decided to text message me about my facial hair – since you kept hitting the numbers to annoy me so I would hang up and then deactivate the number, here is my response to you.

Thank you for your concern. Your concern was negated the moment you chose to remain anonymous.

I have been waxing for 10+ years now. In order for the wax to get the hair, it needs to grow out at least a quarter of an inch. So there are times it will be longer than others.

Since the pandemic, I have been waxing my own face 90% of the time because I do not feel comfortable exposing myself and my skin. So yes, I learned a new skill and waxed myself. Huge win there! So I have to pep talk myself up more so then going to get it done.

I appreciate the concern for insulin resistance, but there are MANY of other reasons for facial hair on women. You are right it is a hormonal thing, but that hormonal imbalance can happen for many reasons. Yes, I 100% own my body, and take care of it to the best of my ability.

My words of wisdom for you, is do not judge a book by its cover. Seek to understand someone and ask questions. I would have loved to have a conversation with you.

P.s. thank you for triggering me back to when I was cyber bullied in middle school. You showed me areas to which I needed addressing, healing and forgiving.

Blessings!!!!
