Being in a state of fight or flight is a combination of if I dont do it NOW, I WILL forget and my body, mind and spirit to do have the capacity to complete that task right now.
I lived in such a state of hypersensitive, in needing to know when mom was in pain, what she needed, etc that is all I know. One would think this would cailm down by now. Nope.
With time, I do more and more to be a normal human being, there are days where my whole to-do list is complte, and there are days that its litterally copy from the day before.
There are deffinately certain things that are easier to do, and there are certain things that are more difficult to do.
